A member asked:

Would alcohol work against florinef (fludrocortisone) since its a diuretic?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Florinef (fludrocortisone): Why are you on Florinef (fludrocortisone)? Alcohol is indeed a weak diuretic but is dose dependent. There is more than one indication for the use of Florinef (fludrocortisone), including low BP, Hihg K. But long term issue is best avoided. So in summary if you are talking it for low BP, indeed avoid Alcohol.
