I was diagnosed with staph. 3 days ago. since then my older boils have grown quite large, and new ones all over fever is 99.5. are the meds working?

Check with doctor: This depends on size of the boils, where on your body, and maybe on the exact antibiotic you are taking. Boils can progress for a day or two after starting effective treatment, but 3 days is getting a bit too long and many staph strains are resistant to commonly used antibiotics. Recheck with the doctor treating you. It's the weekend, but if your doc isn't available, probably someone is on call.
