I have this white speck on my iris. looks like crust. tried to wash out. i do not wear contacts. irrates eye when i blink. what could this be?

Eye speck: Hmm...the iris is inside the eye, so any speck on the iris would not be possible to feel when you blink. Perhaps you can consult a chart of eye anatomy and ask your question again. The position is an important clue here.

See doctor ASAP: If you can feel spot and it does not move around the eye, likely it is on/in the cornea overlying the iris. Such a thing could be something sticking out of the cornea ("foreign body") or a scratch ("abrasion") or depression ("ulcer"). All 3 are serious and may require antibiotics, immobilization of the eye, and possibly even more (ie, removal of the foreign body). See Ophthalmologist or ER.

See eye doc.: It may be an ulcer or foreign body on your cornea. the cornea is clear and you see through it to the iris . So the thing you are seeing is on the cornea, the clear out windshield. Try using artificial tears like systane four times a day until you see your eye doc.
