Propranolol: Thanks for your question. Propranolol can be used for a condition called essential tremor per the 2005 and 2011 American Academy of Neurology published guidelines. Furthermore, sometimes propranolol can be prescribed in anticipation of tremor exacerbated by social situations. All medications can have side effects, would discuss with your doctor if this medication is right for you.
