Yes: Nexplanon is a progestin only contraceptive that should not increase one's risk of DVT in the same way as combined oral contraceptives like the pill, patch, or ring which contain estrogen. The hormonal iud and the copper iud would also be good options.

Yes: Yes nexplanon or any progesterone only birth control or non hormaonal birth control such as Paragard is safe for these patients
