Does high b2 microglobulin always means there's cancer? what are other reasons that increase this protein?if the patient has dvt, could it be the reason behind it? note/the amount is 2.56mg/l thanks for answering?

There are non-tumor reasons for elevated b2microglobulin: Beta 2 microglobulin plasma levels may also be increased in patients with chronic inflammation, liver disease, acute viral infections and renal failure. Thus elevated level is not diagnostic of cancer. Get HPV, Flu and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!
