A member asked:

I got strep throat and went on antibiotics all my syptoms are gone but my lymph node on one side is still swollen. when will it go down?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lymph node: following an infection, even infections treated successfully with antibiotics, lymph nodes can remain swollen sometimes for a few weeks. Monitor it closely, if it remains painful, increases in size, or does not shrink over some time, please visit with your doctor again for further evaluation.
