Cold sore: if the sore was still moist there is a good chance. However if it looked scabbef over the chances would be much lower

Less likely, but: The fact that the lesion was healed over means is would not be shedding as much virus as an open sore. Most herpes labalis is caused by HSV1 with oral to oral contact. Nevertheless, spread by cigarette sharing is possible. **50-60 % of adults have contracted HSV 1 in childhood....so it's quite likely you have already been exposed.
