A member asked:

If a child was malnourished (lived off of processed foods, no proper nutrients, etc) up to age 12-13 could they still reach their potential height?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Malnourished? : "Malnourished" means not enough calories or not enough protein. It has long term consequences, affecting growth and sometimes development. Processed foods, although not ideal, on the other hand, are not necessarily deficient in these nutrients so it's not right to assume the child was malnourished.
