Moderate Exercise: The keys to losing weight are follows: 1. Low calorie, high protein diet. 2. Moderate exercise for at least 20 minutes daily. Moderate exercise means a heart rate of 115-130. At this level of exercise you are burning the excess sugars in your diet and burning some fat. Anything more strenuous may not lead to good weight loss. 3. Persistance. Keeping to the new lifestyle with gratitude & joy.

Heart rate: At your age and if your in good health you can go up to 163 ... The best advice is to go up to where you are fatigued and then reduce the intensity . Every now and again raise the intensity . Just sweat alot.
