Uncertain cause: Alleve would be the best thing to take for inflammation since ibuprofen is out. Not sure what ligaments you are referring to. There are none associated with an implant, and any where tooth was extracted should have been removed during the preparation phase for the implant. Gum tissue soreness is normal and may last 7-10 days depending on the incision/sutures. Good Luck.
