Have acute gastritis. really bad nausea can't even eat 3 crackers w/o getting nausea. have zofran but doesn't always work. also hv carafate (sucralfate) what next ?

PPI: If you have gastritis, an H2 blocker or proton pump inhibitor (PPI) may help your symptoms. Ur may also need a urea breath test or stool test to rule out H. Pylori infection. If positive, ur will also need antibiotics. In the meantime, can add melanoma/maalox until H2/PPI start working.
