A member asked:

Which label in a lab test determine if the kidneys are working normally ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Renal function tests: The usual screens for kidney function are your blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine. The chemical urinalysis (especially protein and blood) and concentrating ability (see if you can raise the specific gravity over 1.020 when thirsty), if normal along with the bloodwork, prove healthy kidney function.
