Yes for now: You may take sumatriptan up to 2 doses per day. The warning is there because using sumatriptan more than 2x/wk is not the way to treat chronic migraines and that one would need to rule out something more serious. If this is triggered by an acute stress, it'd be ok to take the drug 2-3x/wk for a couple of weeks. For long term management, there a better , safer,& ? cheaper options.Talk to your neuro
