A member asked:

My urologist will allow only 4 pumps of fortesta/day, tho the package insert says 7/day is all right. why is my dose reduced?

Blood level: Hi. Most drugs have a range of doses. The dose used depends on an endpoint, in the case of testosterone, clinical response and/or blood level. If your urologist feels your blood testosterone level is good on 4 pumps, then she/he will not use more. Like all drugs, too much testosterone can cause harm. Your urologist is a specialist in this. Communicate with her/him. Good luck.
