A week or less: The pelvic swab for chlamydia/gonorrhea takes only 3-4 days, blood work for sexually transmitted infections takes about a week. Some vaginal swabs for things like trichomonas can take up to a week. It shouldn't take 3 weeks for the results. Some doctors only call if labs are abnormal, or maybe your doctor was out of town, hard to say why the delay in calling you back.
