Call your dentist: Sometimes a pulpotomy is not enough to relieve pain. Return to your treating dentist to change medications in tooth and prescribe antibiotics and pain medications. Hope this helps as there is nothing like tooth pain to get your attention.

Visit your dentist: Take OTC NSAIDs or Tylenol (acetaminophen) and visit your dentist ASAP. If the tooth still hurts after a vital pulpotomy, root canal treatment may be needed.

Pulpotomy: A pulpotomy is not a permanent treatment. The pain indicates that the tooth requires root canal treatment. See your dentist or an endodontist ASAP.

See DDS ASAP: Did you neglect to get the root canal finished? See the dentist, make sure the tooth is still salvageable and follow through ASAP.
