A member asked:

I broke my wrist 2 weeks ago, doctors said i need surgery, what kind of scar does it leave? i'm too scared about the external metalic things

Hand Fracture Repair: I understand your concern about the scar appearance. The majority of people will heal "normally." In other words, the scar will be minimally apparent. Is there any family history of "keloid" formation or thick scarring after injury or surgery? Also, what is more important, the ability to utilize your hand, or the possibility of a small visible scar. Don't delay your surgery any longer!
