No much: All tests have risks and benefits. The benefit of knowing that you have a rib fracture versus the risk of radiation exposure and the cost of the test is not a good balance. As you said the treatment would not change.

2nd X-ray of third toe on left foot showed that toe is fractured. Doc calls it avulsion fracture. Can I walk on this type of fracture? It still hurts so much. What treatment is recommended is it serious?
