Public speaking: For phobias I most recommend finding a Psychologist expert in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing(EMDR). This treatment can really produce faster, long-term positive change. EMDR is often used in performance enhancement with pro-athletes even, and I have found it to be more effective for phobias than CBT alone or prolonged exposure.

Managing anxiety:: The most effective treatment for anxiety is relaxation training coupled with cognitive therapy that helps you modify the thoughts, perceptions and beliefs that trigger the anxiety. Learning to calm your body and your mind is the key. Find a mental health professional who treats anxiety or provides biofeedback training (www.Bcia.Org and www.Aapb.Org).
