Can taking my peak flows trigger a bronchiospasm? when i take my peak flows my first blow is always higher than the last 2.

Mechanism....: Using a peak flow meter is effort-dependent. So, the first time you force air into the meter, you will likely give a better effort so the number will be a bit higher. If you rest a minute or 2 between trials, the numbers will likely be closer together. It is good that you are monitoring the peak flows so see if resting helps. If symptomatic, see your doctor or go to ER for evaluation and treatment
