A member asked:

I have high prolactin (32.8). have been testing myself for lh spike and have had 4 consecutive days of peak results. when can one assume ovulation takes place? at first or last peak result? can 4 consecutive peak days be related to prolactin levels?

Increased prolactin levels can be associated with anovulatory cycles, as the pituitary can be compressed by an adenoma, which will decrease releasing factors for LH, while stopping the inhibitory factor for prolactin. Consult your physician as you may need a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist for guidance re: the possible pituitary adenoma.

It would appear that an infertility specialist is involved in your care and therefore your inquiries should be addressed to him or her.
