MD?: What type of MD evaluated the patient? Undiagnosed ear pain should be evaluated by an ENT doc. The most common cause of "ear pain" not due to ear is TMJ problem. If ENT exam negative, see TMJ-orofacial expert. Other TMJ signs include clicking jaw, limitation of oral opening, chewing pain.

Several factors: including panic attacks, sleep problems, fever, anxiety and stress, and trouble breathing at night (apnea), side effect of medication (SSRI) just to name a few. See your PCP to treat whatever underlying condition is causing night sweats and earache.
