Could be: Back problems can cause pelvic pain because the nerves that care pain impulses aren't good at differentiating where along the course of the nerve they are being irritated. However, the cramping could also be caused by your IBS, adhesions, endometriosis, or pelvic infections all of which are not visualized well with CT or ultrasound. A full history, exam, and appropriate testing are required.
