Medical check up?: Any mole that has scales or appears dry and irritated should be examined by a physician. If it is a brown or black lesion, look at its borders. If it is changing in size or color or gets elevated, these are signs of concern as a mole can turn into a melanoma in which case it has to be removed before it gets out of control. Get a medical check to be sure.
