Antibiotic: See a doctor and have your throat cultured or have a rapid strep test. If this is not positive, then do not take antibiotics. Many sore throats are due to viral infections, allergy, acid reflux, sinus post nasal drip and other causes. Antibiotics are dangerous when there is no clinical reason for their use.
