SIJ pain: 23 y has "hip pain" at 38 wks pregnancy and seeks relief. She should ask her Obstetrician for a sacroiliac joint belt. This type of pregnancy-related hip/back pain is often due to stretch placed upon sacroiliac joint ligaments, loosened by hormone Relaxin secreted to prepare pelvic girdle for childbirth. The SIJ belt form closes the SIJ's & takes mechanical stress off the SIJ ligaments.
