With caution: Ibuprofen an NSAID, nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug, can reduce the effectiveness of the bp lowering effect of metoprolol, probably less on heart rate, especially when taken for more than a week. 4 a day or 2 probably much less likely to cause a problem.Discuss with ur doc again b4 starting to use the drug. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is safer wen taken in prescribed doses. Any med overdone -> problems.Good luck.

Metoprolol Succinate ER. Ive been taking half of a 25mg pill. I was told is ok to split. Im going to talk to doc about going off. I tried before and had bad rebound htn, heart rate. My ? Is if I can cut this once why cant I cut it again to 6.25mg?
