RICE treatment.: Count on it. Your symptoms have all the makings of a fracture. You need to RICE it. Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevate. Although there is a possibility of just soft tissue damage, it is best to treat it as a fracture. Have an x-ray taken to verify either way.

Injury: it could be fracture, hematoma or even clot . check with your doctor . need X ray and sonogram to rule out DVT
