Ankle swelling: There are many reasons for ankle swelling but would try an anti inflammatory agent like Motrin 400-600 mg 3 times a day If that does not work get an X-ray on your ankle

You may have an : Arthritic condition. There are diffrerent types, rheumatoid seronegative arthropathies etc. get evaluated by a doctor.
