A member asked:

Can dramamine (dimenhydrinate) help with nausea caused by anxiety? and can it help with nausea caused by a severe caffeine intolerance? thanks.

Check with pcp: Best not to self-medicate. Caffeine is a stimulant that may be triggering anxiety ---> nausea. Have your pcp check for any underlying cause of nausea. Meanwhile, avoid caffeine and try to reduce your stress: eg, deep breathing, exercise, write down what triggers anxiety. Counseling with a therapist for stress reduction may be helpful. If anxiety/nausea persists, ask doctor about anti-anxiety meds.
