This is usually..: ...attributed to low blood sugar. Most people naturally eat frequently enough to avoid their blood sugar dropping too low causing hypoglycemia. It is very unusual that a person truly has something wrong with her pancreas and blood sugar metabolism. Most often, just remembering to eat something at least every 3 to 4 hours will do the trick. Your blood sugar low: Get checked for hypoglycemia. You should keep a snack with you and eat before this happens. Best snacks are things that have a little protein, like cheese, nuts, eggs. Sweet things can raise your blood sugar rapidly, but also can make it fall even further so you are actually worse off. However, if you are diabetic or on insulin, you need to have a sugary snack or gel with you all the time.
