Concerta for ADHD: Remember Concerta treats adhd and not odd especially if adhd is not the cause of odd in your son. Odd is treated with behavior modification training. Please read the following book to help understand the difference and help with odd. 'your defiant child, eight ways to deal' by russell barkley phd.

Fresh Look, Teamwork: If ur child were diagnosed w/ 2 physical disorders & not getting better despite treatment, u might think 2 get 2nd opinion. I'd recommend that now: find a skilled clinical child & family psychologist able 2re-assess ur child's history of difficulties (& strengths!) in the context of ur family, his school, friends, etc. Consider getting help as a family...As a team! you each affect one another.

Effective management: Of adhd is: medication management, behavioral therapy by a psychologist, & environmental manipulations @ home & school ( a section 504). Tell his doctor which behaviors are worse, in what way & when; if an optimal dose of methylphenidate doesn't work, (s)he'll likely change to the other stimulant, amphetamine, after screening for illegal drugs, & may refer to an adolescent psychiatrist.
