A member asked:

I have a diffusely heterogeneous thyroid from an ultrasound and a 2.8 tsh. any concern?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not from TSH: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, Your TSH level is normal, but that does not rule out thyroid disease. Why did you have ultrasound done?
