Narcotic safety: Tylenol (acetaminophen) with codeine is safe to take after a biopsy as long as it is taken in prescribed doses. Be careful not to drink alcohol or take other sedating medication with it. You should also not take other tylenol (acetaminophen) containing products while taking the tylenol (acetaminophen) with codeine. Mild pain and tenderness are to be expected after the procedure.
