Taking : Taking too much tylenol could be dangerous. That amount you listed is reasonable, but any more then that could be dangerous to your liver. You can take advil (ibuprofen) instead of the tylenol and it is safe with acetaminophen/codeine.

Keep lower levels: Sorry your broke your arm! Those of us who are older have reduced clearance of medications. 1/ 2 Tylenol 2x/day + bedtime for short term would = 800 mg/day, usually a safe dose, depending on liver function. Key is short term. You may augment that by adding ibuprofen in the interval, but please be sure to take that with food to protect your stomach. No ibuprofen in kidney failure.
