Lactating meds: A rule of thumb is 10% of medications pass to the baby. Codeine may cause extreme sleepiness in the baby. Try to use nsaid's every 6 hours, then Codeine for breakthrough pain, as needed, to wean your dependence upon codeine. Try arnica topically for pain relief.
