Hello dr tsai, my dad has just had a eye operation, however is suffering bladder retention after general anesthesia.how long can this be prolonged for?

See remark: I am sure he must have had some trouble voiding before the surgery.Within 24 hrs he should be able to void.General anesthesia "depresses " our strength ,& function for usually short period of time after surgery.
