Get evaluated : this lesion should be seen. It may be nothing worrisome like perhaps you but your tongue. However, this could be something very worrisome that needs evaluation now

Painful bump: This could range from a tender lymph node to an infection to a growth as well as many other things or combinations of lesions. It's important it be evaluated by a dentist (or ENT Specialist) and probably even if the pain subsides.
