Can recurrent idiopathic angioedema episodes cause you to have an elevated CH50 count on a blood test? I have this and my immunologist is not concerned since all my other blood work looks good. He thinks its just from the inflammation from attacks?
My ch50 blood test value is 394 and 300 is normal; C3 and C4 are normal values; IgG subclass2 serotypes in blood test are lowi. Have thyroiditis.

Can you have a normal ch50 (total complement) blood test result, but still have low C3 and/or C4 levels?...Or would low C3 or C4 show up on ch50 test?
