How does hydrocodone cream works? how can my hubby be alergic to benadryl (diphenhydramine) but not hydrocodone? aren't they the same thing?

Totally different: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is an antihistamine and hydrocodone is an analgesic. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) works for allergic diseases , hydrocodone works for certain pain. However I believe you meant hydrocortisone cream which works for allergic skin lesions (contact dermatitis) since I am unaware of the availability of a hydrocodone cream.
