Insect bite: If you are having a reaction to an insect bite, I would take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) first. If you are suffering from a great deal of swelling, full body rash, any difficulty swallowing or breathing, get to an Emergency Room ASAP. If it is localized, take the Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and try some Cortizone cream or calamine lotion.

Dem Skeeters.: That mosquito injected you with his saliva, and in that saliva was a protein that your body is sensitive to. This is a type of a reaction that your immune system is demonstrating in an extreme manner. This sometimes called the Skeeter Syndrome. If you are having fever, headache or body ache, you may need to see a doctor. Otherwise, buy a "skeeter stick" from the drug store and use an ice pack.
