Possibly: i would say that depending on how irregular or prominent the scar is, it may help blend and smooth the scar. It is unlikely to hurt anything other than your wallet. :) Depending on the size of the affected area you maybe be able to excise the bad areas, but that will leave a scar as well, just likely flat and thin.
