Many toxins...: Cancer-causers in tobacco smoke: tar, arsenic, benzene, cadmium, formaldehyde, chromium, 1, 3-butadiene, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, nitrosamines, acrolein. Other poisons in cigarette smoke: hydrogen cyanide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, ammonia all of these substances are toxic to the lungs. Smoking tobacco is one of the worst things that you can do to your body.
