See below:: Phase 1: start walking for 15-20 minutes, regularly, daily would be nice. This is to get into habit of walking & into the rhythm. Increase time, frequency or distance. Don't do anything else. Phase 2: after 3-4 weeks for more wt reduction, watch what you eat, decrease your plate size and food on it. Eat something (small amounts) every 3-4 hrs, rather than 3-4 heavy meals. Persist, good luck.
