GFR normal: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your GFR is in the normal range. You can reduce your chance of becoming diabetic by losing 10% weight, exercising 150 minutes/week and adopting a diabetic diet. You may consult a nutritionist. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco or alcohol in any form.

GFR: GFR of 119 is not CKD. It actually is higher than normal. How was your GFR computed ? I am assuming MDRD. At 119 you don't have CKD. On the other hand I suspect you have a low creatinine. At this time you have a higher than normal GFR and don't have CKD. I suspect MDRD is overestimating your GFR. Hope this helps.
