Alzheimer's: Alzheimer's disease is not contagious but your mom could develop it,also. It also can be familial and passed on to children. I wouldn't worry very much about your developing it unless there is other family history of it. In my practice most cases were sporadic rather than familial. If you have further concerns, consult your physician or a psychiatrist for more information.
