A member asked:

How quickly can thyroid levels change?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Relatively stable: You don't provide much info on your question. If you are not on medications, your thyroid levels, both TSH and ft4, are relatively stable. If you change your dose of levothyroxine, your levels will change gradually over 4-6 weeks. If you are hyperthyroid and start methimazole, your thyroid levels will usually drop over the first week, and stabilize over the next few weeks.
