Say no to surgery.: The majority of patients with incidental gallstones will remain asymptomatic through their lifetime. It is estimated that 15 to 25% of people will become symptomatic within 15 years of follow-up. It is probably best to avoid surgery unless your gallstones are causing symptoms. Nothing needs to be done with them if they are asymptomatic. Good luck.
