Too many platelets: Thrombocytosis is too many platelets. Thrombocytopenia is not enough platelets.

Thrombocytosis: That is a lot of platelets usually > 750,000 ( or at times 600,000) .usually due to autoimmunue disease iron deficiency , polycythemia or a mass.
